ÚRBANISTAN is a spatial design practice engaging at the intersection of architecture, art and urban culture. ÚRBANISTAN works and consults on a variety of projects that involve spatial, strategic and urban design, as well as research, publication and curatorial practices.

Anna María Bogadóttir is founder and owner of ÚRBANISTAN. She is a licensed architect with focus on architecture as cultural and critical practice. She works with transformation, heritage and media as a creative force in architecture and channels her work across different mediums and platforms. Anna María is assistant professor in architecture at the Iceland University of the Arts.

Anna María holds an M. Arch. from Columbia University and an M.A. in cultural studies. She also holds an M.Sc. in design, media and communication from Copenhagen IT University.
