GREEN VISIONS

Anna María Bogadóttir is co-author of the book Green Visions: Greenspace Planning and Design in Nordic Cities. In her book chapter, entitled Water as Public Greenspace, she positions water in the centre of the discourse of urban greenspace, putting a particular focus on water in relation to its social, spatial, and experiential implications in the context of Iceland. The book explores and evaluates the historical pathways, contemporary development, and future outlook for planning, design, and policy-making of green and recreational cities within the Nordic region, providing an overview and insights into the aesthetics, functionality, and significance of urban greenspaces throughout Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
