THE CITY CENTER: COLLABOROATION AND DIALOGUE
To address the governance of Reykjavík's central city, a steering group composed of city representatives was established. Guided by Úrbanistan / Anna María Bogadóttir, the steering group provided expertise and reviewed proposals for policies concerning central city matters and related actions. The primary focus was on shaping the future administrative framework of the city center and establishing effective channels of collaboration and dialogue between the city, residents, businesses, and other stakeholders in the area.
Following thorough deliberation, the policy proposal put forth by the steering group received approval from the city council on November 3, 2016.
